as i’m sure most of these posts will begin…
we have to give it up to the folks who came out to the show…
turn out was awesome and i have to say…
i’m pretty sure we made it all worth their while.it was the band’s first time playing there… and comparing it to other venues…. it’s like the chicago theater… i mean for f*cks sake, i could hear all the instruments, and the sound guy wasn’t some hack.
(anyone out there happen to be at the gig where after the set ended and the nights music was over the sound guy attempted to clear the room via an annoying-as-fuck-evil-robot-voice-effect???)
anyway, Martyr’s was great to us… the possiblity of us returning to the venue is high
we played first of three acts… which is kind of like watching Friday The 13th backwards…. which at first i thought might be a bum time slot, but it worked really well. our friends out in the crowd were pretty responsive… even to the new unheard material… and despite it being too early for normal folks to be drunk.
((I forgot to mention on stage that our next show is on Jan. 7th at THE NOTE in wicker park… it’ll be another first for us (the band hasn’t played the wick yet).))
